Dear, players of Trident Networks SCP-RP (or at least most of you)

Introduction / summary;

I have known, or I should say, we have known that I am known as pretty much the most hated or disliked person in the community. Ever since I was the Nu-7 TFL to my current position, Assistant Site Director, I have gained quite the negative following. Don't worry, this is not effecting me personally and this isn't a story about depression or me being sad in any way, shape or form. However, this is effecting how I am treated within the community. Any phrase that has some sort of negative connection to my community name (Krennic) has normalized over time and I am seeing on a regular basis people constantly saying things that could be considered subtle insults, or even the most popular ones which could be any variation of "Krennic is mean/gay/stupid/etc". I usually laugh it off, as said earlier, those don't hurt me, I find them funny honestly. However, like a disease or trend, it spreads and now people I have never even heard from before are saying things to me or new players think I am horrible because of my name constantly coming up, jokingly or not. I have even seen or heard examples of people saying incredibly rude things behind my back, which is taking it way to far. Now, to answer a small question, I have made this post because I am simply misunderstood and I am trying to give people an understanding of where I come from.

Explanation / Background Story;

Alright, so I have been playing Garry's Mod for plenty of years and my main interest was serious role playing. Obviously I was horrible at the concept and could barely spell at the time, but it was fun for me, I thought of it as a game that not everyone really understands. No, I don't like Fortnite, Apex Legends, Call of Duty, etc, I like to role play in some sort of virtual reality, I can't give you a description of why I like it, however, it has been a favorite of mine at the time. My favorite "genre" of role play at the time and even today, was role play based on real life, for some it may sound strange "don't you play games to get away from reality?" is a common phrase I have heard, however that is not the case. With Garry's Mod you can only get so serious so I searched for another platform or community that is strictly serious and was a genre I was interested in, I ended up finding some other games/platforms that did that sort of stuff, long story short, it's what got me to treat role play so seriously, it's not a game for the most part for me, it's more of a hobby. Which is also why I get frustrated at people who are acting foolish, it's because this is a SeriousRP server and it only ruins my immersion.

Now, why am I so "mean"? It's because I am a serious, experienced role player. I honestly dislike to go OOC during RP, however on GMOD that seems almost impossible. If you get to know me and actually chill with me for at least five minutes, you'll get to understand that I am not mean, I am just playing my character and role playing. Since some individuals aren't familiar with the concept of RP and the "rules" let me educate some of you, role play never connects with OOC interactions, just because I demote you or insulted you ICly does not at all mean I dislike you OOCly at all. The only time role play and OOC merge is when a rule is broken. I don't recall ever being disrespectful to anyone OOCly BEFORE everyone starting disliking me, it was simply because people misunderstood the concepts of IC/OOC and myself, which lead them to thinking I was a complete dick and am mean to everyone because of my rank. I'm going to say it now, I am sorry to anyone who thinks I dislike them OOCly, because that is simply not true.

Conclusion;

In conclusion, I treat all with respect or how they treat me OOCly. Yes, I have broken a few player disrespect rules by going too far but I am fixing that, using the feedback I am given to improve how I act. Even though it is stated multiple times I want to say it again, McGregor (me) is not mean, Krennic (RP character) is mean. Now please get that through your head and stop saying shit in OOC! :)

Now, I will say no names, however I have said some things that you guys have taken personally and have taken it to the point that you hold some sort of grudge. I am saying sorry for whatever I did and hope to redeem myself in the future. Yes, OOCly I can be sort of a big mouth when it comes to something I disagree with, just know I don't actually mean it.

Feel free to say whatever you want, I just needed to get this out so people understand where I am coming from instead of assuming I am just mean and Noc's pet. (also, whenever I claim "people hate me because im good" that's completely ironic and is a JOKE for the most part)
